01 / THE PROGRAMME
What is NSIC SPRS?
Single Point Registration Scheme for government purchases
The National Small Industries Corporation registers eligible manufacturing and service micro and small enterprises under SPRS. The scheme supports participation in government purchases and access to applicable public-procurement benefits. It is a registration process, not a promise of an order. Enterprise category, activity, documentation, inspection and the products or services covered by registration all matter when preparing an application.
02 / THE FIT
Is it relevant to your business?
Who it may suit
- Udyam-registered micro and small enterprises undertaking eligible manufacturing or service activities.
- Businesses preparing to supply products or services to government buyers.
- Existing SPRS registrants reviewing renewal or changes to their registration.
Potential value
- A structured supplier-registration route may support your public-procurement readiness.
- Applicable tender-document and EMD benefits can be reviewed against the tender.
- Organised capacity evidence may make application and bid preparation clearer.

07 / COMMON QUESTIONS
A little more clarity.
Can every MSME apply for SPRS?
SPRS targets eligible micro and small manufacturing and service enterprises. Medium enterprises and traders are outside this route. Check NSIC's current activity exclusions and your Udyam classification before applying.
Is NSIC mandatory for every EMD exemption?
No. Accepted evidence and exemptions depend on the applicable procurement policy and tender conditions. Review the specific tender instead of assuming NSIC registration is the only route or a blanket exemption.
Does registration guarantee a government contract?
No. Registration and contract award are separate decisions. You still need to meet the buyer's eligibility, technical, commercial and delivery requirements, and submit a compliant bid.
